I'm working with a 30 day trial 425 unit as a Proof of Concept for our school district. However, I'm finding the content filtering very limited and wonderd if I'm just missing somthing.
I need to create non-global execptions. I want to be able to do an HTTP profile with an exepection. For example, we block the catorgory "search engines/portals/catalogs" for all students and teachers. Google.com is in that catagory so we want to add it as an execption for normal students and teachers. So far so good.
We also have a group for students to that should not have any internet except for a single student web portal (ie the www abuse list). If I have google as an exception, then students on our deny list still get to google.
To me is seems that there should be a filter action of "exception" so we can proccess that in a profile so we can add exceptions by group/users. Instead of just a standard whitelist/blacklist. Or add the exception to the "blacklist" filter actions.
Am i missing somthing or not?
