After numerous complaints from network users about seemingly random websites being blocked, I have noticed the following:
Using the Yahoo! search engine, URL: http://uk.yahoo.com enter a string to search e.g. easy
Attempts to open most of the links which point to a .com website fail. Astaro blocks the site, reporting that it has been matched against the forbidden extension 'com'.
What's peculiar is the fact that my http proxy settings include no blocked extensions or websites/URLs, only categories 'drugs','extremistic sites','criminal activities', and 'nudity'.
What's even more peculiar is the fact that if the same search is carried out from http://www.google.co.uk, the links work perfectly well, as expected.
