Astaro Active Directory Authentication problems

I'm having major authentication problems.
This web site mangled my connection so I ahve to enter this post twice.  I'm going to be much more brief.

I've setup the Active Director Authentication but cannot get it to work.

The User\Authentication screen indicates that I have my firewall in the  Active Directory database.

I put the FQDN of the user I created for SSO in but when I click on the Apply button I get no response" neither failure or success.  This is a big problem.  I'm blind so I don't know if this is the source of the issue.

When attempting to authenticate I see entries in the Security log on the servers indicating that the Astaro Firewall security object successfully logged on.  I don not see any indication that the FQDN user that I setup under the "BIND user ID" section of the Active Directory tab has logged in or even attempted to login.

All authentication attempts fail.  When I select Basic even local accounts fail.  Only the Admin users account will work.

Can anyone help?

    I can't help you fix the problem, but I think the no response is an indication of an error. If you look carefully and quickly at the field you entered the data in after you click "apply" you might see it outlined in red for a very short time.

    I think another post pointed out an issue with FQDN being in uppercase in ASG causing a problem even though the FQDN case is irrelevant.
