Proxy and non-standard HTTP ports

Hi,

I am trying to get HTTP Proxy to work for non-standard ports via the web browser.

For example, I am trying to connect to a CPANEL web configuration screen (port 2082) and the Proxy fails (although the port is allowed in firewall rules).

The only way around this is to setup a bypass in the webbrowser for the URL. Are there any other ways around this - on the server?

The proxy and the packet filter rules don't talk to each other.

You need to create a service for the port you want to work through the http proxy and add it to the allowed port/protocols list.
