http proxy problem

We have an external server at a data center. We were always able to access it just fine. We have 2 setups here. Most users are using the proxy with content filtering. Us in the IT department are bypassing the proxy. Everyone works just fine. But out of no where, today, we cannot hit our own external server located at a data center unless we ARE using the proxy. I am not sure why this is happening. We didn't make any changes to any rules.

    Did somebody play with your external interface? If so check and see if the MASQ rule is still there.

    no one did anything. the only people who have the password is me and one other. also the only ip allowed to remotely connect is ours from the office. Everything was working. no changes on the astaro itself. the only thing that does not work is this one site. The colo server has 2 ips. one is webserver the other is webdemo. webserver works, webdemo does not. says bad request invalid host name only when NOT useing the proxy. But now we have noticed that when you are using the proxy, you can get to the site but you cant actually use the webdemo. says, if your using a proxy blah blah blah. but literally yesterday it all worked.

    heads up, I fixed it. It was pretty retarded. I changed the rule to allow the webserver internet access. From internal>any>source external address ( which of course works, but for somereason didnt allow this one service to work after a whole day of working ) I change it to the internal>any>msq_external ( which is pretty much the same thing as the first one since they both accomplish the same thing ) Who knows. Whatever it works now. GEEZ! Was I missing something? and dont tell me the first way was wrong, dont forget it worked for one WHOLE day.

    Did the colo web server reboot in between?
    I suggest that the IP addresses bound to it changed order, this happened to me last week.
