First, see my previous post.
Upon a reboot, the box is up via the console, but totally unreachable from the network for ssh or WebAdmin. At the console, all of the network adapters are GONE!! I looked in the logs and the only clue I have is "LICENSE EXPIRED" messages in the conf.log. Funny thing is, I had a month on my install license since I only installed the software 3 days ago. It doesn't make sense that a license expiration would prevent network connections at all. Otherwise, how would you install a new license?
I tried to ifconfig eth0 manually and it says "no such device". I manually loaded the nic driver using modprobe and was able to bring up my internal interface and access Webadmin. However, it wants a new license, which I have not yet received.
It really appears that the entire network config has been blown away! If this was due to a license expiration - BEWARE!!!
Fortunately, I made a backup just prior to the reboot so I am going to reinstall. I must have this up for our IT group in the morning. I had better put on a pot of coffee.
