FTP and HTTPS with transparent proxy?

Are there working methods for FTP and HTTPS with the transparent proxy?

If so, how is this done?

I've read quite a few threads which are partial/incomplete solutions or acknowledgements that there are currently problems with passing these through the transparent proxy. The knowledge base has an article which purports to explain how to use DNAT for this but then explicitly states it won't work for FTP or HTTPS. [:S]

If transparent proxy won't work with FTP and/or HTTPS now, how about automatic discovery of the proxy settings by Windows clients? How is that configured?

    FTP and HTTPS won't work in transparent mode, as mentioned allready multiple times. 

    Automatic proxy configuration works either via script or via DHCP. Astaro dosn't support it, so you need another machine to do it eg. a Windows server.
