Streaming media issue

Using an Astaro 220 version 6.303.  A couple of my users requested that they be allowed to listen to a streaming radio broadcast.  Management approved, but to this point I've been unable to get it to function properly.  The feed is initialized from www.670thescore.com, which links to radiomat.com.  The feed itself appears to stream from a server (or cluster) at tuner1.dc1.sonixtream.com.  Using a packet sniffer, the IP seems to be 68.142.121.83.  I've tried URL whitelisting 670thescore, radiomat, sonixtream, the IP address, and various formats (as per the knowledgebase article), but none of these seem to work.  Most other streams listed at radiomat.com work without any extra filter changes, there's just something odd about this one.  I've also tried whitelisting \.tuner1\.dc1\.sonixtream\.com, based on a recommendation from Astaro tech support,  which also had no effect.  The only thing that did work was creating host definitions for the users machines and then adding them to skip networks in the global settings for the HTTP proxy which is unacceptable.  Can anyone else please try to play with this feed and see if you can get it to work?  Thanks.

    I just had a simmilar problem with limelight-streams as well.
    Your solution (AV / CF exception rules) works great.
    While testing this I noticed another very annoying thing: If those streams go through the proxy (no exceptions set) not only does the client not get any sound or video but the proxy will never stop to cache the incoming stream (as it never ends). This can cause the storage partition to fill rapidly and render the whole ASG unstable.

    Hey folks,
    there still are some problems left.
    My storage partition is still filling up regularly.
    I looked into the file system and found several files from 700MB-1000MB under /var/storage/chroot-http/tmp. The files are named downloadX???. So I believe that these are objects from the web that are being cached for download.
    I assume them to be web-radio streams just because I don't know what else would be of this size.
    Is there a way to find out, where these objects originate from? Maybe there is a proxy log that lists the objects being downloaded?

    I do really need some help here.

    Could be streams, enable access logging for the Proxy, and check those logs.  Set them up (the stream IPs) with packet filters to bypass the proxy, and if you aren't in transparent mode, add exceptions in your browser configuration to accomodate them.

    Hello Brucek,
    I am unsure how to turn on access logging. Is that something to set up in webadmin or do I have to modify squid's config file?

    Which version are you using?  In Version 7, look in the advanced tab under Web Security (it's a checkbox).  On Version 6, look for that option under the HTTP Proxy settings (it's a list box item).
