Surf protection and whitelist Question/Problem

My goal is to setup Astaro to allow a group or single users access ONLY sites on a whitelist.  For example microsoft.com on the whitelist should allow them access to update.microsoft.com but not anything past the microsoft.com domain (this is only an example since I will have other company approved sites).  At the same time I have other users that have unrestricted access or fall into the standard catagoies provided with astaro.  So is it possible to limit a user or host to ONLY a whitelist and nothing else?  Is it also possible to have different whitelists for this purpose?  If not what is the best way to prevent internet access other then blocking port 80 for that user or host?

  • What you are asking is possible.. just create  a profile for the user or user group that needs to only be able to access whitelisted sites, and add a wildcard for the URL blacklist into their profile.
