problems with http proxy in asg

using asg 120 v6. find out that http proxy do not work as one day before, either we do not made any changes in configuration. user report to us that they have problems to visit some web sides with msg: the requested url could not be retrive. we changed ie settings that user can surf whitout using proxy and everything was fine, but if we want to use proxy of asg problem still exist. we only use caching. mode is standard, content filter is disabled. either we have cleared our proxy cache and restart the asg we can visit only some websides and some not. [:S]dea

    Yep.. a lot of sites are no longer ping-visible... they are trying to prevent DOS attacks, and most of the "bigger boys" and those lucky souls like us have implemented IPS systems that block that kind of traffic... as someone just said, do have  a look at the squid logs when you try to access the trouble sites.

    One more reason could be that some DNS server do not accept DNS requests from all sides.
    Check if you have those DNS server that your Internet provider suggests. Using different may cause such trouble.
