I am trying to setup ASL 6.02 for a school district. Is it possible to NOT require a password for students to gain access to the HTTP Proxy (with a Default, restrictive profile), while teachers/staff CAN choose to enter a local or eDirectory username/password to gain access to a less restrictive profile? Or is there some other way to accomplish this?
From what I have found, if I turn on any kind of authentication, it requires everyone to authenticate. I would like to be able to grant less-restrictive filter settings to teachers/staff, but not require students to know and enter a password to gain access to the Default, restrictive profile. So students could get right online, with strict filtering, perhaps by pressing 'Cancel' at the login prompt, or entering a username of 'Student' with no password, but teachers could choose to logon to get access to categories that would otherwise be blocked (like 'uncategorized sites' - without those blocked, kids can get into way too much; but with it blocked, teachers can't get into the sites they want).
Any suggestions?
