eDirectory SSO and Citrix

I found out about ASG (or actually Novell Security Manager) about a month ago and so far I'm very impressed with all the features. I was especially happy when I saw the 6.200 release with eDir SSO support since a lot of our customers are currently looking for a Bordermanager replacement but keep running into the lack of a decent ClientTrust function in alternatives.

There's one thing about the chosen solution (at least from what I understand from the Wiki) that worries me, and that's the fact that authentication is based on IP address. Since on a Citrix box (and yes, we have numerous customers who run Netware Clients on their Citrix boxes) all users log in from the same IP address, authentication for these users will always fail.

Any thoughts or ideas on this subject from Astaro? [:)]

    Astaro is aware of the fact, that our current eDirectory SSO solution does not work fully in every enviroment.

    We have tried to create a solution arround ClientTrust, but this was not possible, as ClientTrust uses a proproietary Novell protocol to communicate with the proxy and expects that the Gateway is a full novell server which we are not, as ASG/NSM is based on the Linus SLES9 platform.
    Bordermanager is run on top of a Novell Netware Server where this works nicely,

    As noted on Craig Johnson's WebPage the standard CLNTRST authentication does also not work in a Citrix/Terminal server enviroment where multiple users map to the same IP.

    Therefore we think that our solution is very similar to the CLNTRUST solution.
    But Astaro is constantly developing ASG/NSM further to extend the area where it can be used, also towards SSO in Citrix/Terminal Server enviroment.

    Great to hear that Astaro is constantly developing ASG/NSM further, but it would be of more help, at least for me and my customers, if you could tell me if this functionality will indeed be included or not, and if yes, when. Version 7..?
