Virus Protection Web no Downloads possible

When you try to Download a file, the Internet Explorer have Scripting errors, and after a few seconds Download seems to be finished, but when right click astraro download button, the file download is always much to small.

    Do you use Quality of service in your interface ? If yes, I suggest that you can try disabling QoS in Interface Definitions.

    Check your bandwidth might be an issue. If your internet is not providing CIR to you. That means that its bandwidth varies between Max to min. therefore QoS might not behave as expected

    Do not hesitate to ask for any inquiry.

    Downloads are possible without Virus Protection Web.

    Suffer the same problem, it would indicate to mew that the site being downloaded from might be considered a bad site and is blocked eg a link in webpage shows some vunerabilities.

    My wife, who uses this PC as well suffers a lot from hotmail and intermittent page errors. I don't have any specific solution which is annoying.

    I have the same issue, When surf protection is enabled, I get a page error when trying to download a file...

    Some settings:

    - QoS = Off
    - Proxy = Transparent
    - Content Filter = Enabled
    - Content Filter Profile = Standard (Virus Protection / Block Spyware)
    - Parent Proxy = Off
    - Caching = Off

    it works for small files...but not bigger ones... and In the past with version 5.x I used to see a process bar showing the download progress... but the bar is not shown in version 6.x

    any idea?

    PS: The website I'm trying to download from...is the ASL mirror for the ASL ISO:

    Please rename the broken file you downloaded to something.html and then open it in a browser. I guess then you will have the answer [;)]l status bar.

    There is a bug, Proxy Virus and Surf Protection with Authentication NTLM/Radius. 

    I am not able to download files greater then 2-3 MB some smaller Files won't work, too.

    I've tried several times...

    I cannot locate precisely what is causing to fail...


    - When I tried to download the ISO image failed
    - When I download from downloads.com it shows the
      Astaro progress bar... but the downloads windows is very 
     small and in fixed size.
    - if I download a .tar.gz file the progress bar does not display
      but it displays when I download Zip files.
    - It works better in standard mode than Transparent mode


    Please note that I don't know what is causing the progress bar to be shown or not (Http? Ftp?) and if the file extension plays a rule... but it would be nice if someone from astaro would tell us a little about the logic behind it...

    I can confirm this problem.

    Proxy = STD

    I am trying to download Office 2003 service pack 2 from the microsoft web site.  The file completes on the Astaro and gives me the link, but when I save it to the local hard disk it is only 522K out of 103MB.  I opened the file and it is BINARY.  No HTML from the Astaro.  This must be a bug.  Going to report it through support.

    It did work on smaller files for me -

      a) not possible or
      b) filesize is too small

    Without virus-protection no problems  : /
