HTTP proxy and caching

Dear Friends,

How can I make sure that my ASL is do the caching ? I download file of 6MB ? When I start to download it once again ? It it not cached !!

I have a transparant proxy server, my ASL has the IP address 10.0.0.10.

I am using the following configuration for my PC
IP:             10.0.0.5
Mask:         255.255.255.0
Gateway:  10.0.0.10
DNS:          10.0.0.10

Will you explain more about caching ?

    There is a max object size parameter in Squid (the http proxy).

    If you want to increase it, you can edit the squid.conf-default, but this may void your support contract.

    Search these forums for squid, you will find William has posted several tweaks.
