Content filtering....

I have an issue. Dont know if this is possible. We would like to do content filtering of some clients that are connected VIA VPN. Is there anyway to use the benefit of astaro's content filtering engine with the use of there remote gateway. Example, remote site is surfing internet sites and our astaro tells it yes or no... if yes, then it uses remote bandwidth to pull down site, not ours.

Doubtfull if this is possible, but does anyone know a usefull solution like this? I basically just need DNS content filtering... sorta.. to sum it up

    Dunno about using ASL for this, but where I work, they use a Websense plugin for Cisco; the Cisco router or firewall asks websense for permission for each and every URL.

    Also, You might be able to achieve something like this with IE's AutoProxy configuration or Mozilla's proxy.js.

    I have serval roadwarrior and one net2net vpn, all traffic have to go through vpn tunnel and end up internal, all user have to use proxy for surfing.

    I tried to use main proxy as parent proxy on remote site, due to NTLM auth it is not working.

    Astaro user since 2001 - Astaro/Sophos Partner since 2008
