Wildcards and other issues -- n00b Q.

Please point me in the right direction if these questions have already been answered elsewhere. 

I've just started using ASL, and have a 10 user home licence. I'm trying to set up content filtering so that ALL websites will be blocked unless manually specified in a whitelist. 

What I've previously done with other firewalls is have a manual list of allowed websites and then a wildcard blocking rule.

Can this be done with ASL?

    you have a black an a white list, both regexp. so just have a regexp rule in blacklist which matches all sites, and in the white list only those sites needed for surfing.

    Thanks for pointing me on the right track. I found this site about regular expressions:

    I've only been looking at this for a few minutes so please tell me if I'm wrong, but I think to use a wildcard blacklist is "/*/" (no quotes). Then I'd just add web pages on the whitelist as normal, taking care to put a "\" in front of special characters like ".".
