[5.203] Http Virus Scanning Symantec Liveupdate

After implementing the HTTP Virus scanning the Symantec Liveupdate ceased to download the antivirus updates...has anyone got a fix for this problem?

    Hi,

    put the servers into whitelist, or allow this traffic by packetfilter not proxy. Problem is, that most pattern are cleartext files with parts of virus code.
    So this triggers the AV of the HTTP proxy. Had the same trouble with Kaspersky updates via proxy (also whitelist didnt help in my case).

    As far as I know the Symantec Liveupdate servers send the wrong mime type for their files which leads in problem with Astaro's virus protection. Astaro then tries to show the download progressbar which is handled as an error from Symantec Liveupdate servers. Put the Symantec Liveupdate servers into the whitelist to prevent showing up the download progress bars. This should then fix the problem.
