hi, i have a problem with updating my imac. updates up to about 20 mb will work. bigger updatefiles will finish with a timeout. if i deactivate the viruscheck in http proxy these updates work too. this is a workaround i would like to fix. my idea was to work with a whitelistentry but i have there 2 problems. i do not know the url(s) i have to insert and i do not know really much about regular expressions.

is here someone who is also working with a mac and can tell me the i can fix my problem?

    Hi,

    just have a look at the proxy accesed sites log. normaly it schould be something with apple.com.

    Normaly you can whitelist a whole domain with \.apple\.com
    \. only means, that the . should be threated as an character instead of an regexp command.

    hi chris,

    thank you for your help - but i was not successfull. i have seen 3 urls in the livelog. these urls in the whitelist as a regex like you sayd did not work. any other idea?

    sorry to say, but no. Just had a similar problem with Kaspersky Update via ASL HTTP Proxy. There seams to be a problem since 5.102 or 5.103 because, it only works if the contentfilter is off.
    Whitelist didnt work, neither did the URL whitelist. 

    Had to use the packetfilter for those IP/DNS names, so the Kaspersky AV dist. Server could update directly via port 80.
