http proxy not proxying https

im using the web proxy and its not proxying https, https is in its allowed services box and its running transparently so i dont have to do anything for setup terms. i know this as i have to add a packet filer rule for https to work to the internet.

any body got any ideas i could try to fix this?

    https is not possible in transparent mode. this would be so called "man in the middle attack". you can only run http in transparent mode but not https with asl v5.
    you could let it run in standard mode if you have a domain network and enter the proxy settings in the gpo. so the clients get the settings after logon.

    ahh i see makes perfect sence, no i dont not run any sort of domain setup this is used purely at a home lan and to speed up the internet and save on some bandwidth, i was just curious as to why https wasnt being proxied, no big problem.
