Office Update: Doesn't Work Thru Transparent Proxy

Office Update say's I'm using Office 2003 on a Mac when I try to update it thru the Astaro HTTP Transparent Proxy (I'm using Windows XP & Office 2003). Office Update works fine when I don't use HTTP Proxy.

Astaro Setup for HTTP Proxy: (Packet Filter lets ANY internal traffic to ANY External destination)
Operation Mode: Transparent
Log Level: Access Log
Anonymity: Standard
Allowed Networks: Internal
Content Filter: OFF
Parent Proxy: OFF/NONE
Cache: Enabled
Block CONNECT method on HTTP port: OFF

Sounds strange, but If you are using SMP Kernel --> try using NON-SMP-Kernel! V5.200-Proxy does not like SMP Kernel.

As per what you have circled this is an office update site issue not an asl proxy issue.

The problem isn't a site issue if the update works fine when NOT using ASL.

Well i am not having an issue with officeupdate. As a matter of fact after a small tweak to increase hte cached file size one one machine goes to office update the others update nearly instantly as they get the cached version.
