Virus Protection = "all or nothing"

Hi all,

I have a ASL 5.102 with Cobion and Virus Protection. The Proxy runs in "User Authentication" Mode with different Cobion Profiles. Now i wanted a special Profile with no Virus Protection... and it doesent work. VP seems to be an "all or nothing" thing. If the VP is enabled in one Cobion Profile, all others are active too. If it is disabled in all Profiles it stops scanning stuff. The Icons switch their Color normaly (Green/Red), but the AV stops only if all VP Icons are red.

Is this normal??? I simply assumed that if i have a VP Button per Profile it works that way...

That's right, we have this problem too. It is definitfly not an problem of profile-assignment, cause the rest of the "profile-restrictions" like content-filtering works well.

On my machine it works fine. Only profiles with activated VP are virus protected.

Could you please post your exact http proxy settings? Maybe some screenshots of the webadmin?

The configuration is ok. I just tested Surfprotection with Radius by myself. It's working fine. Every profiles uses the defined VP configuration. I tested with two SP profiles.

Did you create a RAS policy for every surfprotection profile? The policy has to have two entries:
1) NAS identifier has to be the same as the SP is named to.
2) Define the group the users are in.
Do that for every SP profile.

Also you have to create a policy which matches for NAS identifier "http" and a general group where all http users are in.

Hi Xeno,

Jup... done that...

all other Features of the Profiles (like Whitelist/Blacklist) are working as expected for the different Groups. Only the "red" VP-Switch is ignored as long as one "green" VP exsists.

I try a Reboot tonight...

Hmm, maybe you should contact Astaro Support and send a backup to them.
Copy the UBB thread to the email.
