HTTP Proxy over Site to Site VPN doesnt work...

Hi all..

I have a little question and this will be easy for the cracks.. ;-)
I have a site to site VPN Connection this works fine (Active Directory Synch, Netbios, etc.)...

I have also enabled the HTTP Proxy in Transparent Mode. Now i want to connect over the VPN with the HTTP Proxy but it doesnt work, it ends always in a Timeout. Put i the proxy off, then it works. It also works, when i go to standard and exclude the sites in the Browser, but i doesnt want to go standard i want transparent...

Anyone a idea? Thanks a lot for answering...

    could you please try to give a a bit more detailed setup explaination? The question I have is do you want to use the remote transparent proxy or do you try to access remote resources via local transparent proxy?

    Second would need a SNAT rule to rewrite all HTTP traffic going from 'local proxy  external address' to remote network to 'local proxy internal adress' to the remote network. The external adress isn't included in the SA of your VPN. Another Solution would be to setup a second tunnel going from 'external IP local' to remote network.

    If you would like to use the remote transparent proxy you have to assure that all WWW related packets pass the remote proxy this can only be achieved with a VPN that sends all packets through the tunnel like 'local network=0.0.0.0/0', don't know if you want that.
