Unparsable request line error

This error is showing a lot of times with IE AND Firefox. By now, some every day use web sites are nearly unusable for all my 75 users behing the Astaro box.

Disabling HTTP proxy is the only cure I've found, but I need to know if there's any patch/solution/workaround that let me turn on the proxy.

Anybody has been succesful solving this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

    A little more information is needed: Which version of ASL do you use, which Proxy mode, VP on/off. Tell us the URL where the problem occours.
    Please install the latest version 5.1. There was a problem in previous versions which should be fixed now. You can also set the URL to the Content Filter Whitelist for Workaround.

    Sorry, here's the info:

    Latest version 5.100 used. HTTP proxy working in transparent mode, content filter disabled, caching enabled. The whitelist URL trick don't work, same problem. Problem seen more often in IE 6 under Win XP and Win 2000 (latest patches applied), but Firefox 1.0 also fails frequently. Problem seen also under SuSE linux 9.2 with Opera and Firefox.

    Error shows mainly in authenticated sites (our own web admin zone from our site www.acb.com - http) and www.ingrammicro.es (sorry, needs also user/pass - https). Randomly seen in open sites returning long URLs from dynamic pages.

    In our admin zone the error show mainly when updating data (POST operations). The other sites show the problem loading pages.

    Seems that bypassing the proxy using the socks proxy is effective. But we want to upgrade our license to use the content manager and VP protection for http, and under socks services this extra protection is lost.

    Really I'm lost with this issue. We're using Astaro from version 4 and until version 5.025 we haven't seen this error. But now is making everyday work very difficult for my users.

    same problem here:
    sometimes  unparsable request line '' but somethimes it work (same page)  

    ASL version 5.100 
    HTTP proxy working in user authentication 
    log level full
    anonymity none
    content filter enabled
    no cobion  Surf Protection 
    caching disable

    poblem only with IE 6 under Win XP and Win 2000 (latest patches applied)

    Exact the same at our site, with empty URL in the error message. V5.1, http-proxy, no-caching, no-conten-filter.

    you can use https as a workaround, because the proxy is not able to parse crypted content ;-)
