/var/storage is filling up

Hi,
Every hour or so, my astaro server keep sending me this message:  storage application partition mounted at /var/storage is filling up - please check.

After getting a little peek in /var/storage, i've found that   /var/storage/chroot-http/tmp is 8.8gig big!
There are a lots of   hyper* files   in it.

I've an http proxy running in transparent mode with the virus protection on. The cache and the surfprotection are disabled.

I was wondering what are these files and what's their purpose?   How can I make a clean-up   if its possible to do?

Thanks for your time.
