Surf protection quits without warning

At various times over the last few weeks, sometimes when I'm not in the office, the Surf Protection of our 5.1 box seems to just stop working. Actually, it happened before the latest Up-to-Date as well. I never receive a notice of this and usually doing a disable and enable of SP fixes it but I was wondering why this might be happening and how I can make sure that it works when I am not here. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

    I have sometime the same problem but with ASL 4. It always happens if the Internet connection is very slow. This is always an indication that one ADSL connection of my upstream provider goes down or is already down. It never happened with a fast connection.
