Can't access any https: pages since Up2Date 5.026

It was working before - now we get the following on all https requests:

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While trying to retrieve the URL: xxx.yyyyy.com:443 

The following error was encountered: 

Access Denied. 
Access control configuration prevents yo

No Surf protection.
No virus detection.
No transparent mode - connections are to port 8080.
