microsoft update

since i updated to 5.026 i cannot update my windows 2000 pro anymore. ie finds new updates but when i click on review and install updates it comes with content could not be loaded
uparsable request ine ' '.
how can i get this working again.

    same problem here !

    using 5.026
    http proxy / standard / port 8080
    NO VP
    NO SP
    even disabled caching meanwhile to see if this causes the problem

     unparsable request line ' ' 

    Problem only appears when accessing a portal site (.aspx) .....
    Any idea ?!

    I've had the problem intermittantly.
    But I can't remember OS's it happened on [:(]
    I think Win2K3 and 2000.

    Only seen it 2-3 times.

    Same here! Using Windows 2000 SP4. Confirmed in trying the office 2003 update too!

    I can't remember for sure but, I think it worked in ver. 5.024.

    That's it, it was the Office Web Update in Office 2003.  And Win 2000 Pro.

    After testing around, i found out that
    i can access the .aspx site with W2K and XP systems that have all Windows Updates applied.
    Can't access the site, when using Win98, even with all available Windows Updates applied  
    The Win98 systems can access the site when i bypass the HTTP proxy.

    By the way: I'm talking about access via Internet Explorer. Most crazy fact is, that Firefox 1.0PR is working !!
    Even on Win98 systems by using HTTP proxy !!

    So it seems to be a problematic combination of the proxy AND the state of your windows system.
    (Namely Internet Explorer and/or Office Version)
    Rellay weird.
