From ASL 5.018, i see that ASL Team changed the order of 2 layers (the Hyperdyper layer is before the Squid layer). I know we will need the Hyper if we need VP/SP. But even disabling VP/SP, Hyperdyper still be used and it forwards requests to port 16479 of the squid. I think this solution significantly decreases performance. The User Authentication of the squid config is dymmy authentication (for logging?!).
I wonder why ASL team didn't choose a better solution?, the port of squid changes back to 8080 and confd disables Hyperdyper in no SP/VP mode. In the User Authentication mode, they can still use squid to authenticate users instead of dummy like before. And when ASL is in SP/VP mode, the squid port change to 16479 and authenticating role is taken by HyperDyper for profiles assigning.
