V5.024 slow surfing

Hello,

my customer with V5.024 running on a P4 2,8GHz and 1024MB RAM with SP/VP 
says that surf speed is slower than without SP/VP.
Images are skipped by searching for Viruses.

My customer is very unhappy with this.

Anyone who has these problems too?

    Hello victims of HTTP VP mess
    We just received a note from Astaro: They confirm the problem with slow HTTP-Proxy with VP and they will fix it in "one of the next updates".

    Has anyone already applied V5.026 ?

    Due to the problems with the latest updates I want to hear other peoples experiences before I apply the patch.

    Hello Alex,

    installed 5.026 today on 2 ASL boxes.
    No problems so far, HTTP seems to run more stable.
    Need to wait some more days to tell more details.

    You're right, when reading the board you could really get afraid of using Astaro at all  
    Although i don't wanted to make my statement to those endless threats, i might remark that normally nobody would post 
    "hey i installed Up2Date, everything worked just fine". *)
    Means nearly everybody's posting errors but there is no known relation to the percentage of up and running ASL's out there.  [;)]
    For me (lucky guy), everything went fine except the HTTP proxy problem (performance, some pages unable to load)

    Hello, with 5.026 we are able to use VP again. HTTP Proxy is not fast but usable. 

    We use a special crypting Proxy which had problems with ASL HTTP cache. What we noticed may help users with similar architectures: Depending on the structure of a web site ASL opens a lot of HTTP connections to scan the data. So be sure that the client is able to handle these numbers of concurrent threads/processes otherwise you will run into time-out problems.
