We are using a POP3 proxy with Virus protection for our email. Is it really worth the internet browsing slowdown to use a HTTP proxy just to be able to have Virus protection for downloads, etc.? Are there that many virus threats in this way, compared to email?
For most sites using the HTTP proxy is almost twice as slow on our 384 kbps business grade DSL connection.
Thanks,
Patrick
