I/O timeout on content could not be loaded

I received the following message after upgrade to 5.018, while surfing:

Content could not be loaded  
     
     
   Please check the spelling of your URL.

Make sure that your proxy settings are in order.

The following lines may provide some additional information to the cause of the failure.



I/O timeout 

I did not change any settings. Any ideas?

    cant say about the parent proxy logs,  this parent proxy is of the ISP, well i can say that theres nothing stopping from the parent proxy as if i bypass asl HTTP, i can browse all the sites if i bypass. you can also see my other post regarding the paent proxy issue i faced prior in the following link

    yes but the HTTP headers  from proxy->proxy are different then browser->proxy. do these sites work without the parent proxy?

    Yes these sites work fine without the parent proxy. let me provide you wiht some more details.

    If i move onto an ISP who is providing me transparent internet services every thing through ASL is workinf fine. But if the ISP proxy server is not running in transparent mode, we have problems rerieving these pages. 

    This problem was even there with v.4.022 and 5.017.  Mr. Oliver and Mr. Dominic knows the issues in detail. 

    Another thing is also for sure that there is no problems retreiving these pages to the same parent cache, so no problmes on parent cache what soever.
