Virus-Protection Question

Good Morning everyone,

just a Understanding-Question. We activated the Virusscanningoption for Web today.
How is this scanner working ? are there local Patterns stored on the Harddisk ? or is every site crosschecked from kasperky ?

    Hi there all, 

    the virus scanner is running in a daemon mode on the firewall.
    All pattern gets loaded during startup.

    Yes, all files that get handled by the HTTP proxy and that are not part of the whitelist, get scanned for viruses.
    Even every GIF/JPG or HTML page as well as every download.
    We even decompress archives to look into them
