[5.013] HTTP File download.

Haven't successfully downloaded any files using http. Get download and scanned page and very slow downloads. Get System error or hang. Worked on 5.012.

    [5.015] Still has problems. Test bed Windows XP, IE 6, download latest iso from Astaro, Americas mirror. 4 attempts with IE 6 result in hangs. Used Firefox 0.92 was successful in downloading but observed a lot of idle time in the download.

    Test setup: Firefox 0.92, downloaded latest iso from Astaro, timed it using system clock. Used SOCKS, download time= 13 min. Used HTTP proxy on 5.011, download time=21 min. Used HTTP proxy on 5.012, download time=25 min. Used HTTP proxy on 5.015, download time=19 min. Problems initially reported were not Astaro related but IE. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

    Download status  in progress  
    Scan status  idle  
    Progress (bytes)  24544kb/94520kb  
    Progress (%)  25%

    and after about 40% this error:    

    URL  ERROR: Undefined or expired download requested  
    Content-type  Unknown  
    Download status  Error  
    Scan status  Error  
    Progress (bytes)  kb/kb  
    Progress (%)  1%

    I use MS Win XP Pro with IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633CO with HTTP1.1 enabled for proxy connections.

    I hate this when i have to download the same file again and again
