LDAP Authentication

I have some question regarding the LDAP authentication.
When I tryed to surf, my IE ask the user and password.
There is some way that the proxy is able to catch the user that I'm using in my section?
How I can give the access to internet only to some user and not to every body?

    hi,

    if you want to give just certain users access to the internet, then u should use the internal user database.

    login into webmin -> go to definitions -> users
    than add users and allow htttp for each of them.

    switch to the http proxy -> switch it to user athentication method -> chose local users -> and add the allowed users

    this solution works. there´s no solution by default to filter users if u are using win2k/nt/xp server authentication (or ldap).
