stupid question -> fw-notify.net

what does fw-notify.net do? why do I need this. Maybe I have not RTFM enough but I could not find anything about this 'service'. I thought the scanning an downloading is handled by MY firewall, so why this redirection or whatever it is...

hi,

it just stands there. there´s nothing redirected to outside or somewhere else. search the forum, because theres a way how to change this domain name, if you want.

the proxy needs to know which content to handle. to do this we need a domain name to redirect to which is resolvable and which we know is not used for anything else.
