trusted websites

I'm using the http proxy to strip out javascript along with activex content and also cookies. Since I've done this we have nearly zero pop ups on our sytems. But certain websites that use javascript abd active x don't display correctly. Is there some way to set up a group of trusted websites? These sites would not be filter but every other site thats not trusted would.

Hi there,

if you add these domains to the whiteliist, they will no longer be processed by the content filter engine.

In V5 you also can specify them to completly bzpass the content filter.

will that work in version 4 I'll need to do a intensive ram upgrade before going to version 5. Aslo is version 5 in its final release?

techniclly version 5.0005(i think was the gold release check the announcements forum) however v5 will continue to get up2dates just like v4 has..

also how much ram do you have now..what processor and how many users?

This box is only for 10 users its a p233 with 128 megs of ram the box maxes out at 384.

even with 384 you will most likely experience performance problems on that p233 box with v5

William in that case I'll be on version 4 for a while because I don't plain on getting a new box any time soon. BY the way what are the specs of you astaro box. Also when it comes to the whitelist can that be implemented in version 4?

i´ve got a pII@ 500, the http proxy is enabled with surfprotection and av on. it´s just for 2 persons and it´s devenitly toooooooo sl00000w

ca´s eTrust SCM proxy is much more faster with it´s integrated av. and it was installed on a w2k pro with p233 and 128mb ram for testing ;-)

Thanks for the info bce. I will be staying on vesion 4 for a good while it still does the job that I need.
