HTTP Proxy not logging usernames anymore

I had to disable the HTTP-Proxy operation mode from "User Authentification" to "Standard" because of the problems with ftp and virus scanning. Now I reenabled the "User Authetification" Mode but the logs and reports still contain the IP-adresses instead of the user names.

Astaro 5.011 with Web-Virus scanning enabled.

try disabling the proxy and then reenable it.

This didn't help.
But disabling the "content filter" brought back the user names !
When reenabling the "content filter" the logs only show "-" in the username column. BTW I'm using authenitification via NT/2000/XP.

Hi,

we have a similar Problem.

Since 2004-06-07 the proxy-report shows me instead the username only the IP.

So we don't know who accessed the reported sites

Okay, but how do we get the username back in the http proxy log?? This is sort of the spinal cord for our policy towards internet usage: The possibility to lookup what who did when, in case of suspicion of mis-use. IP adresses only is NOT enough, as 300+ users here share 250 PC's etc. etc.

Content filter HAS to be ON: Part of the same pollicy: Protect the users against unwanted sites, and thus unwanted misuse, by means of 1000+ popups and links towards sites with thing you just don't want to see.

So: How do we get the usernames back in the http-proxy logs/reporting thinggy???

I total agree, we have the same police and this records are VITAL for the use of Internet

So a solution is badly wanted.

Hi,
i've got the same problem on ASL 5.016.
we changed to Astaro cause of these feature 4 month ago
and now the user loggin report doesn't exist since Vers. 5.x

Had an email from Dominic Schmidl, June 22nd 2004, stating:

That's over a month ago now, and SIX (!!!) up2dates later it STILL not working...

I'm sorry to admin that I'm getting rather disappointed by this, which is a real pity,'cause I realy like(d) astaro a lot...
