Scanning FTP for viruses

Is there any way to make all ftp requests go throught the http proxy so it will scan for viruses. 

Just did a test of the virus system at trend micro. If I try to download the test virus from http astaro blocks it YAY! 

But if i use the ftp link Astaro doesnt.

Any thoughts or do i just block ftp going through....come to think of it I don't want to.   [:(]

So any Ideas are welcome.

    The mozilla uses the proxy ALWAYS and it will be scanned. The IE tries to use the CONNECT method (tunneling) which cannot be scanned. If you block this he will come down to standard GETs and will be scanned.
