Problem when accessing HTTPS sites

Hi All,

We configured HTTP proxy and allowed both HTTP and HTTPS services. When I try to access some sites which are non HTTPS I am able to access all the pages. When I tried to access HTTPS enabled sites I am not able to see the page and the page is not displayed.Am I missing out something in configuration.

I tried mozilla firefox 0.9 gets everywhere including all https seure sight banking whatever through give it a try youmay never return. Still ASL5.0 got to fix the issue but for now try this avenue

Ok found something very interesting.

Just downloaded Firefox 0.9 and found that when I have Blocked CONNECT method, it wont let me browse HTTPS. Now I have the HTTPS service allowed on the HTTP Proxy.

I have the Http Proxy in transparent mode and IE wont go through either. I disable Block CONNECT Method and Fire Fox can use HTTPS. I have HTTP 1.1 enabled on IE but it still doesnt go through. The only way to get IE to use HTTPS is through Packet Filter Rule.

I will just use Fire Fox until a fix is done. Just thought I'd put my two cents in.

Hi,

should up2date 5.012 be the solution?
I don't hope so because https://webmail.strato.de/ does not work with IE...

No, 5.012 just seems to be an up2date mod. Maybe 5.013 is going to change a lot?

Just installed 5.013. One webmail site now works with IE, the other still doesn't. Don't know if this is related to the update.

5.013 seems not to be the final solution
as written in the release note...
"We know there is in some cases with HTTPS and Surf Protection. We are aware of this and will fix it in the next Up2Date."

Hi,

the errors wth https-pages, SurfProtection and IE are not fixed in ASL 5.014.
I entered the word "webmail" to the URL Blacklist and went to the
URL https://www.strato-webmail.de
The displayed page stays empty on IE. To me it seems that the error page the proxy generates is not fully transfered to the client.

Can someone check if the page stays empty on IE if webmail is in the blacklist?

i tried this and it worked fine for me.
in 5.015, all HTTPS related bugs should have been fixed.

5.015 looks really good. I tried some pages and everything
went nice...I'm happy about that
The other side is: It took Astaro over 1 month to fix these problems [:(]
but: "better late than never"
