[5.007] Http-Proxy Virus-Scan deletes file endings

hmm ... that sounds odd. i'm running 5.007 with http-proxy / AV and it came through fine for me, extensions and all. try turning off and back on the profile?

I have the same problem with .exe files, .zip-files seems ok

Same here, its stripping the .exe

can you please add some details like:

- OS version
- browser version
- did you also try right-click/save as

.exe is away, AND the file is smaler as downloaded.

I'm trying do download a software from here:

asl shows me that the file is about 2.8MB

after scanning and saving this file, it shows me only about 457Kb. and after starting the file it tells me that the file is corrupt....

I have tried right-click and save, but IE says "the website could not be opened".

ok.. the .exe seems to be a special IE  behaviour, since it seems to occur only with exe-files - this will need some more time to find a solution ... the 'download-is-too-small' bug has been found and will be fixed asap.

i'm having this exact same problem. IE 6, WinXPPro, downloads lose the .exe and are too small.  i writhe with anticipation.

The issue with the smaller download size has been identified and a solution is being tested. We are currently working on the file-ending issue.
