5.006 HTTP Proxy (standard mode) error

HTTP is configured in standard mode, with anonimity=no and logging=no. Caching is off.
Virus scanning off and intrusion scanning off.

Many pages are unabled to be displayed on first access (about 50%) . I need to refresh the page to be able to display it.
The problem was the same with 5.005 and with 5.00x (RC).

All was working fine with ASL 4.021

ASL 5.006
PII 233Mhz, 160Mo RAM

    All works fine if I bypass the http proxy (by adding a rule internal -> any http/https allow in packet filter and setting no proxy in my browser).

    But it's not really an answer to my problem.

    The problem is the same with a more powerfull firewall
    (duron 1,8Ghz - 256Mo).

    So, it realy seems to be a bug in ASL HTTP proxy ....

    Here is the message I found in HTTP log on ASL :

    2004:05:08-19:02:27 (none) squid[28023]: Waiting 30 seconds for active connections to finish
    2004:05:08-19:02:27 (none) squid[28023]: FD 12 Closing HTTP connection

    and what  I get in my browser :
    ERROR
    The requested URL could not be retrieved

    I've exactly the same problem, either in transparent and in standard mode. Is there a solution for the problem revealing?

    5.007 still has the DNS failure issue in http proxy.
    Access to pages fail so proxy needs to be disabled or bypassed to get out on the web.

    Maybe 5.008 will sort it out?

    Ok, I might have found out how to fix this issue.
    Even with Surf Protection (Content filter) turned off I get DNS issues with proxy. 
    .. BUT if you enable surf protection so you get to see all the configuration options you can then check to see if the default profile assignment is disabled. Mine wasnt, once I disabled this then also disabled the surf protection overall proxy works fine with no dns error.
    So perhaps there is an issue with the profile assignment not being reset when surf protection is turned on?
    Anyway seems fixed for me know. Have surfed a few pages will update if I get any more errors.
