Surf Protection appears to not work

Hi, has anyone else had troubles using the Surf Protection? I have tried enabling then disabling both the Transparent HTTP Proxy and the specific Surf Protection section. I have it set to block all categories for All traffic (i figured this is the easiest way to check if it's working) and yet i can still visit any site  ... i have also tried explicitly blacklisting www dot weather dot com, and yet i can still get to it?  suggestions?

    I have the same problem.  I have transparent mode on.  Every time I turned on surf protection, all web pages have been blocked except for HTTPS sites.  I tried everyting, including restarting, on and off surf protection, deleting all profiles in surf protection, turning on and off virus scan and so on.  I have upgraded it to 5.006 already and reboot it and done all up2date services.  Don't know why it doesn't work or does this issue have not been resolved?  Any advise would be appreciated.

    here the same issue.
    don't know if I do not understand how to configure or how surf protection works. but I get often TrojanDropper.VB virus messages during surfing.
    Also if I surf on this board I get this messages. A lot of Posts I can't see because of this "Virus" messages.

    Turning surf protection off and I can surf again.

    HTTP Proxy config:
    Operation Mode: User Authentication
    Log Level: Full
    Anonymity: none
    Allowed Networks: internal LAN, DMZ
    Authentication Methods: NT/2000/XP Server
    Surf Protection: NOW OFF (so I can Post here, else no chance do to Virus message explained above)
    Caching: enabled

    If Surf Protection enabled it is configured following:
    default profile, virus protection enabled, protectet networks internal lan and DMZ

    Is this an issue or do I not understand how to configure Surf Protection??!!

    If secondary please someone explaines me how to configure Surf Protection the right way.

    I got mine working by not using my 4.21 backup.abf file and just re-keying in everything.  However, like others, I get the virus warning messages when browsing the forums here.  Not sure what's up with that.  Also cannot download files from the Web (the page just displays HTML/XML when you click on the download link).  I think the whole proxy section needs more work.
