is it possible to authenticate active directory user with firewall rule? so far unsuccessful

    Hello Brian,

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

    In the UTM you need to authenticate the user using an authentication mechanism, the most popular one in the UTM is the SSO.

    After this, you can create Firewall Rules based on the authenticated users, but you can't authenticate users against Firewall rules.
