VPN DNS Static Entries -- Able to set MX records?

So, I have what I thought would be something pretty simple to implement, but am having issues with it.  We need to change the resolution for a root domain name for users logged in with the VPN.  Am able to do that with no problems with the VPN & VNS Static Entries.  However, it is clobbering the MX records and any subdomains associated with that root domain for people logged into the VPN.  Subdomains were easy to add, however am unable to figure out how to set the MX records.  I think at this point I'm going down the wrong path.  Is there any way just to overwrite just the single entry and leave all the other pertinent records to the forwarders?

  • Hi, Scott, and welcome to the UTM Community!

It's unclear what you're trying to do and what question you're asking, so if the following is off base, please provide more specifics...

It sounds like you have a Static Entry for domain.com that's causing this problem.  Delete that and just use complete FQDNs like mail.domain.com.  The UTM's DNS Proxy is not intended to be a full Name Server like the DNS service in Windows Server.
