Can Only Connect Using External IP (Client to Site SSL VPN)

Hi all,

First of all, you'll need to forgive me as I'm not used to using Sophos UTM at all. I've managed to set it up so that it authenticates against Active Directory, but it won't connect when "company-utm@company.co.uk" is in the config file. Instead, I have to put the external IP address. It appears to be a DNS issue, but I'm not sure where I can change this so it resolves the 'company-utm@company.co.uk" to the internal Sophos UTM. 

Or, is it a case that this should be the external address? If so, where do I change it on the UTM? 

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)

    hard to understand what you want..

    you mixed up ip-adresses / dns / email-adresses in your description.

    i think you want to connect to your firewall with ssl-vpn client, correct?

    Set up  the correct server at remote access / ssl / settings   there you find override hostname. put your correct dns-name in this field
    (the one which points to your external ip-adress you got). after applying reload your config from userportal or reinstall the ssl-vpn-client and its done.

    Thanks - I needed to set the DNS name on my server so people outside our network can resolve 'utm@company.co.uk' to the correct IP.
