Can i asigne a bridge to Lan IP address in a VPN PPTP?

I have a VPN PPTP with a static IP in the user, but it has /32 mask, i need to give it with a /24, we use a Lan Messenger that has no server, it makes a broadcast searching for other PCs with the same app, but due to the mask, i cannot see the PCs in the VPN, i also tried with a SSL VPN, and creating a NAT rule for those connections

  • Hello Bob,

Thanks for your reply, I have this Lan messenger (http://lanmsngr.sourceforge.net/) in the network, also there is a branch in other city that doesnt has a utm, so im using the vpn SSL or the PPTP from the menu remote access, in th vpn ssl i use the 192.168.10.0/24 and a Snat rule  trafic from SSL VPN POOL>ANY>Internal LAN // UTM Lan address.

In the VPN PPTP i tried assigning a static IP address to the user, but due to the mask /32 the lan messenger app does not work

  • Ahhh-ha!  Now I understand.  You're right that it's not possible to bridge through any of the Remote Access servers.  This is an ideal situation for a RED tunnel.  Depending on the size of your branch office, I would recommend either a RED 15 or an SG 115 with a Network Protection subscription.

    Cheers - Bob
