VPN Internet access

I have L2TP over IPSec remote setup I can connect and see my devices inside my network, however my laptop then looses access to the internet, how do I solve this issue, I would like a split tunnel is that possible?

    For L2TP and PPTP, the selection of Full or Split tunnel is made in the client. In the Windows Connection, Properties, 'Networking' tab, TCP/IPv4 Properties, Advanced. For a Split tunnel, un-check 'Use default gateway on remote network'.
