HTML5 portal & IPad not working

I have a client that prefers to use his IPad for remote access to the Sophos UTM HTML5 Portal. The portal works great, however the IPad refuses to launch the RDP session in the browser. I tried another IPad with the same result. IPads do support HTML5 and pop-up blocker is disabled, any ideas?

It may be Safari, which is unsupported for use with the UTM HTML5 VPN and supports the least number of HTML5 features of any major browser. Only IE, Chrome, and Firefox are supported (https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/117470.aspx). Try Firefox.
