Multiple L2TP IPsec VPN connections from behind same public IP

After quite a few head scratching moments we have concluded that if we have several members of staff behind a single public IP lets say they are connected to the same hotel wifi only one of them can use the L2TP IPsec VPN. I don't recall having this problem with our Microsoft TMG 2010 VPN server. This situation doesn't arise with the SSL VPN connection due to the "Allow multiple concurrent connections per user" setting. Is this just a limitation of the UTM or is it some setting we have missed?

Our SG135 UTM is the latest v9.350-12

Will this be addressed in a future update ?

The reason we want to use the L2TP/IPsec VPN is to leverage the native windows VPN client and the ability to use Network-sign-in

Simon, my guess is that the problem is with the hotel's router. Did you try multiple L2TP/IPsec connections to a TMG in the same timeframe?

I also don't think that 'Allow multiple concurrent connections per user' relates to this issue.

You were right its seems I could never have had multiple L2TP\IPsec VPN connections to our TMG via our guest network behind a Draytek Vigor since the following applies

"You cannot have more than one VPN client behind the Vigor creating a tunnel to the same remote VPN server"
