Request Routing via VPN?

I would like to try if i can make a request route entry to a DNS server that i would reach over one of the VPN tunnels. Can that be done? 

For example

Site A
Request Route for abc.com to DNS 1.1.1.1
VPN to Site B

Site B
DNS 1.1.1.1 from ISP

I tried to setup a VPN as follows, but i can not resolve abc.com
Site A LAN to Site B 1.1.1.1
